About me

I am Christopher Colton, former professional baseball player who played for the Seattle Mariners in 2002-2007. I also played for several minor league teams such as the River City Rascals, Wichita Wingnuts and Joliet Jackhammers from 2007-2010. Circumstances growing up were tough, but my love of baseball was strong!!! I was blessed to have really great coaches who believed in my ability. I was able to excel in baseball at a young age, but the opportunities were limited coming from a low income family out of Newnan, GA. Despite all my challenges, I was drafted out of Newnan High School at the age of 18. I briefly attended Middle Georgia College and then headed to Spring Training.  I continued my baseball career until family responsibilities became the main priority. My wife, Aurelia, has supported my career in baseball for the last 13 years and was instrumental in creating my business Drive Baseball LLC. Drive Baseball is a travel baseball organization established to giveevery kid a chance of an equal opportunity regardless of their circumstances. Aurelia and I had a vision to support the kids in our community and that is how we wantedto give back! In 2022, our nonprofit organization, Driven Success, was established to provide hope to children & help support parents in the love of baseball. I have proven tactics to help players in every age group and at every level. For the past 15 years, I’ve given lessons in every aspect of the game, hitting, fielding, running, etc. Icustomize every lesson to the child’s needs and ability. Driven Success also provides sponsorships to under privileged children. It is important that Driven Success partner with parents to influence critical life lessons learned in baseball such as hard work, responsibility and courage. We are passionate about teaching kids the fundamentals of baseball and watching them grow into tremendous athletes. Our goal is to keep a positive attitude, apply correct fundamentals, foster a teamwork mindset and see each player succeed!!
